Challenge

Prestige Pawnbrokers, the star of Channel 4’s series “Posh Pawn,” needed to provide a secure facility for their new headquarters in Hatton Garden, London. They were looking for a security solution that would provide the necessary communication and functions of an open-counter trading setup without the risk of operating an open-counter surface. Solution

Safetell installed a full floor-to-ceiling Counter, Screen, and Partitioning solution to create a secure line. In addition, two Staffline Security Doors were added to form a secure airlock lobby. As part of their Cash Management range, Safetell installed a Meridian 35 Transfer Unit in between the two service windows to allow customers to securely pass large items to the staff. Safety improved dramatically without hampering normal operations.

Outcome

The use of a secure airlock, deep pass-through trays, and the Meridian Transfer Unit provided an overall security solution that protected staff and allowed for swift product trading, reducing the opportunity for robbery.
